Billy Collins the US Poet Laureate is from White Plains New York. Collins is 72. He is a graduate of ARCHBISHOP STEPINAC HS.; All he remembers most of his boyhood home in White Plains is playing basketball for endless hours until it got dark and he was called in for dinner.

I'm from White Plains
And no one could be prouder
If  You cannot hear me
I'll shout a little louder.

Hey that's a poem
And our old White Plains High School cheer.

We chanted it at football games and I chant it now for Billy Collins
United States Poet Laureate.
